Hard to believe that it was 2 years ago tonight that my Dad passed away. This is an old shot of him when we went up to the Newport Aquarium back in 2007. One of my favorite pictures of him.

We will remember when we first got you we fell in love with you
We remember you biting our arms while playing with you
We remember you chewing up everything in the house and forgiving you
We remember you jumping as high as the door frame
We remember you playing Frisbee and that ball you chased around the yard
We remember walking down the street and you pulling us, we're out of breath and you're slobbing and eyes bulging out
We remember taking you to all the family to meet them and them you
We remember you greeting everyone at the door especially the pizza man
We remember you barking at nothing at all
We remember you using the picnic table as your throne
We remember you and Dad wrestling on the bed and the living room floor
I remember you greeting Dad at the door dancing and tail wagging a mile a minute
I remember you waiting for Dad to drop a crumb on the floor so you could lick that spot for 30 minutes
We remember all we done to love you and care for you
We remember how much joy you brought to our home and our lives

I picked up an new phone today. It's a Samsung Galaxy S 4G. It's replacing my Dell Mini 9 netbook that I was using with a Cricket mobile broadband modem and my ancient Nokia 6010 cellphone. It has a 5 megapixel camera and records 720p HD video. It also has a webcam. So far I like it.

My wife picked this up for me quite a few months ago at a yard sale. I think she gave $10 for it. Has the flash, a 'nifty fifty' and a 80-200 zoom. It also has a 2x tele-converter and a nice bag. All I had to do was replace the battery. From what I know about this it is an SLR that is an aperture priority automatic. Another words the only real control is the aperture setting (and ISO), the camera handles shutter speed. I think I'm going to try it out. Oh, and in case you didn't know it is a 35mm film camera.
